Preparing for Portraits

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What to wear?
  • You may wear whatever clothes you are comfortable in.
  • You may change outfits if you like.
  • For family portraits, it's always nice to coordinate colors and styles.  For example:  guys in button up shirts or polos with collars, and gals in dresses that coordinate.
  • If you want to make a trip down to our creek, please be aware that it is downhill and kind of a rough to walk on, therefore flip flops and sandals are not recommended.  If you wish to have different shoes, please wear tennis shoes and carry your sandals to change into when we get to the creek.
What to bring?
  • Please bring any item that makes your child comfortable.  This may be a favorite blanket, baby doll, or animal.  The happier the child, the better the pictures will turn out (although I do like crying baby pictures too).
  • You may want to bring along a few snacks or little candies to help keep your child happy.  For candies, I recommend Smarties...they are small, not that messy, and kids love them!
  • If you want to bring a few props, you are more than welcome to do so.  I have several different things to use in portraits, but you may have something that is special to your family.
  • Make sure to bring your smiles!
